- LOT Polish Airlines has announced the launch of new year-round connections from the Lech Wałęsa Airport in Gdańsk.
- The inaugural flights to Brussels and Oslo are planned for 29 April 2026, while those heading to Bergen are scheduled to take off on 30 April 2026.
- Together with the previously announced connection between Gdańsk and Istanbul, the new routes mark another stage of the process of strengthening the presence of LOT Polish Airlines in the north of Poland.
Our consistent push to expand LOT’s presence at regional airports is one of the pillars of the airline’s strategy. The launch of new routes from Gdańsk to Brussels, Oslo and Bergen proves our commitment to provide the residents of the Pomerania province with access to European cities that are of key significance for the entire region. Northern Poland is a very important market for us - it is highly dynamic, enjoys great potential and offers good business- and tourism-related opportunities. I am convinced that thanks to those connections, we will be able to increase the number of visitors in the region even further, despite the fact that Gdańsk and its surroundings already are a highly popular destination today. I am glad that the new routes will benefit the tourist industry, while simultaneously fostering economic cooperation, boosting the growth of local businesses and providing companies with new opportunities. We are looking forward to welcoming you aboard our planes.
Michał Fijoł, CEO, LOT Polish Airlines
We are delighted that Poland’s national carrier is expanding the range of flights departing from Gdańsk. The new, previously announced route to Istanbul that will be launched in January 2026 is now accompanied by several other highly attractive and long-awaited destinations. Brussels is of particular importance here. We have long known that this destination was very much anticipated by our passengers, residents of the Tri-City and the entire Pomerania region. Thanks to LOT Polish Airlines, the Gdańsk airport will also expand its offering to include flights to Bergen and Oslo – highly popular and attractive destinations in their own right. It is a very important development for the Gdańsk Airport and the entire Pomerania region. The new routes benefit the residents of Gdańsk who are provided with even better access to Europe. Passengers and tourists will be satisfied as well, as Gdańsk will become an even more attractive and comfortable travel gateway for them as well. The local business community is gaining too. The new destinations translate into new cooperation and investment opportunities, simultaneously fostering international relations. All newly launched destinations boost the competitiveness of Gdańsk, the Tri-City and the entire region. Therefore, we are grateful for the continued expansion of LOT’s flight network at our airport.
