Gdansk has long served as a gateway to the world for all of Northern Poland — today, this role takes on a very tangible form. The launch of new routes to Brussels, Oslo, and Bergen marks a major step toward further improving the region’s transport connectivity and expanding our network of connections from regional airports. With direct flights, we reduce travel time and provide passengers from Pomerania with convenient access to both key European business and administrative hubs and high-potential tourist destinations — from the very heart of European decision-making, through the serenity of Scandinavia, to the rugged landscapes of the North.
Robert Ludera, Board Member, Chief Commercial Officer, LOT Polish Airlines
We are delighted that Poland’s national carrier is expanding the range of flights departing from Gdansk to Brussels, Oslo, and Bergen. We have long known that Brussels was very much anticipated by our passengers. Thanks to LOT Polish Airlines, the Gdansk airport will also expand its offering to include flights to Bergen and Oslo — highly popular and attractive destinations. The new routes benefit the residents of Gdansk who are provided with even better access to Europe. Passengers and tourists will be satisfied as well, as Gdansk will become an even more attractive and comfortable travel gateway for them as well. Local businesses will benefit, since new destinations translate into new cooperation and investment opportunities, simultaneously stimulating international relations. All newly launched destinations boost the competitiveness of Gdansk, the Tri-City and the entire region. Therefore, we are grateful for the continued expansion of the network of LOT’s flights offered at our airport.
