LOT POLISH AIRLINES IS EXPANDING ITS PRESENCE ON THE IBERIAN PENINSULA. THE LAUNCH OF A NEW CONNECTION TO LISBON IS SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 3, 2025

LOT Polish Airlines is adding yet another destination to its flight network. Starting from February 3, 2025, passengers will be able to enjoy direct flights between Warsaw and Lisbon.
The connection will be operated both in the winter and summer seasons. Starting from February 24, 2025, LOT Polish Airlines will fly this route 7 days a week.
Colourful streets, azulejo mosaics, spectacular historical monuments, and its close proximity to the ocean are just a few features that make the capital city of Portugal worth visiting.

Following Madrid and Barcelona, Lisbon is LOT Polish Airlines’ third scheduled route connecting Poland with the Iberian Peninsula. The inaugural flight will take off on February 3, 2025, and initially, the connection will be available five times per week: on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. From February 24, 2025, passengers can also fly to the Portuguese capital on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

LOT Polish Airlines aircraft will be taking off from Warsaw at 10:15 a.m. Return flights have been scheduled to leave Lisbon at 2:25 p.m. The route will be operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, and the flight will last more than four hours.

Thanks to additional planes continuously joining our fleet, we are able to offer our passengers – for the first time in the history of LOT Polish Airlines – a connection to Lisbon. The capital city of Portugal offers plenty of sightseeing opportunities, even on short stays, but also allows travellers to relax on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Lisbon moreover serves as an excellent starting point for trips to Porto or the Algarve region, with its iconic southern Portugal beaches. You are warmly welcomed to visit the western part of Europe aboard our flights.

Lisbon – an iconic city for those craving excitement and relaxation

Lisbon is one of Europe’s most charismatic capitals. The city enchants visitors with its architecture and monuments, which are a testament to its rich history: from the traces of ancient Rome to Mauritanian streets and azulejos (ceramic tiles) to the era of the great geographic discoveries when the local port was a starting point of great journeys by Bartolomeu Dias and Vasco da Gama, and when the Torre de Belém fortress bid farewell to sailors setting out to conquer new lands.

Today, the Portuguese capital is regarded as a friendly city which skilfully blends traditional heritage with modernity. Its iconic, colourful streets are teeming with bustling café life, and the resounding fado music is a source of inspiration for street artists. Although a formal siesta is not typical in Lisbon, those seeking some respite will appreciate the apparent culture of relaxation and a much slower pace of life here – especially on hot days, when the city offers opportunities to unwind on the Tagus River or the nearby beaches of the so-called Lisbon Riviera.

According to a report by Statistics Portugal (INE), more than 30 million tourists visited Portugal between January and December 2023 – an increase of 10.7 per cent over the record year of 2019. Polish tourists are also showing a growing interest in Portugal. Last year, just over 335,500 Poles visited the country – an increase of 20.9 per cent over pre-pandemic levels.

The route to Lisbon is LOT Polish Airlines’ first direct, scheduled connection with Portugal. So far, the carrier’s passengers could take advantage of flights offered under a code-share agreement with TAP Portugal. This option will still be available to LOT Polish Airlines passengers.

Tickets for flights connecting Warsaw and Lisbon are now available through all carriers’ sales channels, including lot.com, LOT Contact Centre and LOT Travel offices.
