LOT POLISH AIRLINES EXPANDS ITS ROUTE NETWORK AND INVITES PASSENGERS TO THE SUNNY ISLAND OF TENERIFE

LOT Polish Airlines launch a direct connection with the Reina Sofía Airport on Tenerife (TFS).
The inaugural flight is scheduled for 27 November 2024.
LOT Polish Airlines’ will be arriving at the new destination three times a week, until the end of the winter season.
Tenerife is a yet another new route added to the Polish carrier’s winter flight schedule.

Thanks to LOT Polish Airlines, this fall is likely to be exceptionally sunny. The carrier’s first flight number LO441 will take off from Warsaw and head for Tenerife on 27 November. Three flights will be available each week – on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The Polish carrier will be inviting its passengers to visit the Canary Islands aboard its Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes departing from Warsaw at 7:50 am. Return flights are scheduled to leave Tenerife at 1:55 pm local time. The flights will last approximately 6 hours. Tenerife is yet another destination in the national carrier's route network that is continuously expanded in accordance with the airline’s 2024-2028 growth strategy.

Being part of the Canary Islands archipelago, this Spanish island is a hallmark of the entire region. Thanks to its unique climate, Tenerife is often referred to as the “island of eternal spring”, as it offers nearly perfect conditions to explore its charms all year long. Located in the Atlantic Ocean, this amazing place combines remarkable landscapes and a well-developed tourist infrastructure. The southern part of the island basks in the sun and offers stunning, sandy beaches surrounded by rocky cliffs. In the north, meanwhile, Tenerife is lush with tropical vegetation and the coastline of this part of the island is dotted with charming bays.

Tenerife is a great proposal for all those who crave a sun-filled vacation in the fall or winter. Thanks to the new direct connection offered by LOT Polish Airlines, passengers will be able to reach the Canary Islands in just a few hours’ time. Moderate climate, picturesque mountain ranges and wide beaches are just some of the peculiar features of this unique island, making it a worthwhile destination. I am convinced that the wide variety of attractions Tenerife has to offer will spark great love for Tenerife among LOT Polish Airlines passengers.

When exploring Tenerife, one should definitely visit the Teide National Park – one of the most frequented parks in Europe. Its main attraction – Pico del Teide – is a volcano towering 3,718 meters above sea level. It is also known as the “roof of Spain”. It is also home to a great variety of flora and fauna species. 58 out of over 150 plant species living on the slopes of Teide are endemic to Canary Islands. Due to its unique geographical location and clear skies, Tenerife is, with its volcanic summit, one of the world’s most renowned star-watching locations.

Tenerife also offers many fascinating monuments that attract lovers of history and architecture from all over the world. San Cristóbal de La Laguna is the only colonial town without ramparts that has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List due to its nearly unchanged location of buildings from the 15th century. After ticking off a host of other attractions, such as charming old town districts, one may relax in a “Gauchinche” – a traditional diner serving local dishes that combine regional tastes with an avant-garde touch.
